Since 1966 The String Shoppe has been the place in the Buffalo-Niagara region of New York State for quality fretted instruments, repairs, strings, accessories and books.

The String Shoppe has several hundred new acoustic instruments and many used ones, in all price ranges.

If you're looking for a great instrument at a great price, check out our selection of New Old Stock which includes some close-out instruments and discontinued models. All are brand new, and have the full manufacturer's warranty.

All instruments are inspected and set up by the owner, Ed Taublieb. Knowledge, good prices and service can all be found at The String Shoppe.

This web site is not intended to be a substitute for coming in The String Shoppe and being assisted personally by Ed Taublieb. There are no Sales Associates, Clerks, Assistant Managers, Managers or the like. Ed will give you personal attention, explaining the types of instruments, their individual characteristics, various woods and construction. He will listen to you, probably ask you some questions and show you instruments that are best suited to the styles of music you play or want to play.

Choosing the right instrument is often difficult. At The String Shoppe you will find the selection process more enjoyable than you thought it could be. When you do make your decision you will know it is the right one.
