Deering Sierra (2002) |
||||||||||||||
|
This is Deering’s least expensive resonator model that has all the features essential to a great sounding bluegrass banjo, with none of the cosmetics. Three ply hard maple rim. Sand cast bell bronze tone ring, high grade planetary style banjo machines and a geared fifth string peg. Mahogany resonator and neck. Rosewood fingerboard. The current version of this model has some what fancy inlays (See Deering Banjos for complete specs.) but no other changes. The case is the heavily padded arched lid Deering case sold with pretty much all of the Deering banjos. The current version of the Sierra banjo and hardshell case has a List Price of $2,699. My price for the one I have is $1495.
