Martin DXM (2005)

In March of 2010 Martin decided to make all X Series models only with electronics and add AE (for Acoustic Electric) to the model name. So, the DXM was replaced by the DXMAE.

The DXM utilizes HPL (High Pressure Laminate) for the top, back and sides. The neck is made of StratoBond™. The bridge and fingerboard are made of Richlite, a very dense material. The braces are made of spruce. The nut and saddle are Corian.

Specs: Nut: 1 11/16”. Scale: 25.4”. Modified low oval neck shape.

The sound is surprisingly good.

Standard Dreadnought specs: 1 11/16” nut, 25.4” scale etc. All satin finish.
