Martin D-18 (1951) |

| Very good condition. Spruce top, mahogany back and sides, Brazilian rosewood headstock overlay, bridge and fingerboard. Original Kluson machines. Serial No.115604. Neck just reset by McBlane Stringed Instruments (Bob MacBlane). Low action, very playable. Two well repaired top cracks from bridge lower bout. Both have been cleated and are very solid. Typical pick guard cracks on both edges of the pick guard have been repaired and nicely cleated. Professionally done overspray on part of the top. Two jack holes near the end pin have been plugged, stained and spot finished. There is a hang tag with the guitar with a 1952 date on the back. According to the son of the person who purchased it used in 1952 that tag was with the guitar when his father purchased it. The case is an arched lid soft shell, red lining. It is in excellent condition. I believe it is the original case because there is a label on the top on the inside from a local music store. (The son gave me a name a different local store where his father bought the guitar used.) The guitar sounds wonderful. It is very responsive and has a warm, sweet and rich sound.
