Martin D-45VR (1998)

Excellent condition. The VR stands for Vintage Reissue. This model was made for only two years. It was replaced by the D-45V which is still being made.

Features on the D-45VR that are not found on the D-45V include:

A genuine one piece mahogany neck.
A script signature of Christian F. Martin inlayed in abalone pearl at the end of the fingerboard.
Natural finish top. (No aging toner)

Other features include:

Snowflake abalone fingerboard inlays.
Square cornered headstock.
Grained Ivoroid bindings on body, fingerboard and headstock.
Abalone inlay around all edges, the fingerboard extension and the end piece.
Scalloped and forward shifted X brace.

The Indian rosewood back and sides are very straight grained and dark. The Sitka spruce top is very close and straight grained. It has aged to an exquisite warm patina.

Black ebony bridge and fingerboard.
Scale: 25.4”

Original Geib style case with green lining.
